Howard Rose is the Director of Funding and Publicity for the Central Schools Trust. His role is to work with the schools within the trust to seek out funding and grants and to connect with local businesses.
Our aim is to offer a long term, sustainable proposition to businesses in this ever changing school environment; we are looking to build long term, mutually beneficial relationships, with local businesses that help boost the resources of the school and enhance pupil outcomes.

By working with local businesses, children are able to gain ‘hands-on’ experiences of ‘real jobs ‘in a practical, informative and fun way; they are able to run ‘Real Life Learning Events’. These events have proven very popular with the children, the staff and businesses and have become a regular feature in the schools’ curriculum.
Howard is also responsible for publicity; he regularly releases, articles in local magazines, a national school’s magazine, e-news, social media and the schools websites. This gives him a chance to thank sponsors and, in effect, shout about the good work that businesses do with the schools. It can be a very effective way to advertise and also show Corporate & Social Responsibility in action.

Howard always looks to work with people and businesses who want to become involved with local schools and who are keen to improve pupil outcomes and to promote their business via the schools websites directly to parents, staff, governors, support staff and other sponsors.
